RIDIKKULUZ

RIDIKKULUZ is a self-taught, Egyptian, Palestinian, Jordanian multidisciplinary artist, born and raised in New York City. His work memorializes family, chosen family, and the self through conflicting religious, colonial, queer, and cultural themes via figurative portraiture. RIDIKKULUZ has been an Artist-in-Resident at XOL Gallery in Baltimore, Maryland; Rowaq Al Balqa Foundation in Fuheis, Jordan, and The Laundromat Project in Brooklyn, NY. He is a Masters of Fine Arts candidate at Hunter College, currently doing research at Universitat de Künste Berlin. He is a Khalil Gibran Scholar and has been a guest lecturer at School of Art Institute of Chicago, St. John’s & Stanford University. RIDIKKULUZ has exhibited in the USA, Europe, Western Asia & North Africa. He was featured in Habibi, les révolutions de l'amour, at Institut Du Monde Arabe: focusing on the Arab LGBTQ+ community. RIDIKKULUZ’s artwork served as the album art for DJ Lorant, Lupe Fiasco, and Kiing Sky. He is in the collections of the Hudson River Museum, the King and Queen of Jordan, the National  Gallery of Jordan, and many private collections. RIDIKKULUZ belongs to the underground ballroom community as a member of the Haus of Telfar and has been mentored by Benny Ninja.
