Faten Abu Ali

Faten Abu Ali, born in 1990 in Sakhnin, is a multidisciplinary artist, who lives and works in Jerusalem. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from the University of Haifa, and a teaching certificate from Beit Berl Institute of Arts. Abu Ali’s work focuses on questions related to near and far space, and social issues in the Arab community. Her creative process is driven by material research, using everyday materials such as salt, rice, honey, home furniture, coffee, and more. Abu Ali’s rich visual imagination stems from her life's significant transitions between three cities: Sakhnin, Haifa, and Jerusalem, and her artistic expression takes various forms: video, installation, performance, and photography. Her work has been presented in various group exhibitions.
