Antoine Elias Raffoul
A Palestinian-British architect, Antoine Elias Raffoul was born in Nazareth, Palestine, in 1941. He was expelled from Haifa, Palestine, with the family on April 8, 1948, and settled in Tripoli Lebanon, never allowed to return to his home. He earned a Baccalaureate Diploma from Tripoli College and a B.Arch (Hons) Degree from the University of Illinois, USA, in 1968.
He practiced in NYC for four years, then settled in London, UK, in 1972 where he practiced architecture and established his own office until his retirement in 2012. He participates in activism for Palestine through Platform www.1948.org.uk. and is temporarily residing in Rome, Italy.
