Noel Maghathe

Noel Maghathe, a Palestinian-American artist and curator, melds performance art and sculpture to articulate a multi-disciplinary exploration grounded in rich heritage. Maghathe earned her B.F.A. from the Art Academy of Cincinnati in 2017, an endeavor further distinguished by the prestigious Stephen H. Wilder Traveling Scholarship.

2023 has been a pivotal year for Maghathe, embracing significant roles in both curatorial and artist residencies. She served as the Curator-in-Residence at both the CUE Art Foundation, New York, and Roots and Culture, Chicago, where her curated exhibition 'A thought is a memory / الفكرة ذكرى' showcased her curatorial expertise and focus on highlighting, creating space, and bringing Arab artists together to explore themes of memory, identity, and diasporic experiences. Concurrently, her artist residencies at respected institutions, such as Ma’s House at Shinnecock Indian Reservation and ArtWorks, Cincinnati, further exemplified her artistic depth and engagement with diverse communities.
